BIRTH SERVICES

My doula services are highly trained(DONA), skilled, and certified professional doula and I provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to you and your partner before, during and shortly after childbirth to help you achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible.
I know how important it is to trust your doula, so I always offers a free initial consultation interview. Afterward, I will meet with you, several times before the birth to get to know each other better and discuss your birth goals. You will have continuous support throughout your labor as soon as you decide you want me there. You’ll receive unlimited text, phone, and email support throughout your entire pregnancy and postpartum period. I will be on-call starting at 37 weeks. I will meet with you again two times after the birth, usually two to three weeks postpartum. You are, however, free to contact me any time with questions or concerns.

Birth Partner’s Role
The role of the doula is NEVER to take the place of the your birth partner during labor, but to complement and enhance their experience.
Today, many birth partners are taking a more active role in the birth process, but some birth partners feel that this is a huge expectation and would rather be able to enjoy the delivery without having to stand in as labor coach. With a doula as part of the birth team, your birth partner can do whatever they feels comfortable with at each moment. Doulas can encourage the birth partner to use comfort measures and can step in when they need a break. Having a doula allows them to be able to support you emotionally during labor and birth and also enjoy it themselves without the pressure to remember everything they learned in childbirth class.

**Placenta Encapsulation Services**
$200 (standalone)
Services include:
*Placenta pills
*Placenta tincture
*Cord keepsake.
Placenta Encapsulation is the process of preparing the placenta for ingestion by dehydrating, powdering and placing it into capsules for the birthing person to use to help aid in postpartum recovery. I provide the highest quality standards for placenta encapsulation services.
The purpose of encapsulation is to help aid postpartum recovery and hopefully avoid the baby blues! Encapsulation can be done for births that take place in a home, hospital, or birth center, and for both surgical and non-surgical births.
There are many healing substances found in the placenta such as:
*Iron to aid postpartum healing/recovery
*Prolactin to help increase milk production
*As well as your unique hormones to improve mood, increase energy level, avoid baby blues and even help avoid postpartum depression.
*Oxytocin and other healing hormones are known to be produced in the placenta.
The tincture is an alcohol-based infusion that lasts long after your pills are gone.
The placenta tincture can be used during emotional times, stress, PMS, and into menopause to help regulate hormones in the body.

Hello, I'm Melanie, a certified birth and postpartum doula. I'm thrilled to share my expertise with you and your family, empowering you to navigate the life-changing journey of birth. My approach is holistic, blending physical support during labor with compassionate advocacy for the birthing person and family.
